Cerebral palsy

 Cerebral palsy (CP) refers to a nonprogressive disease of the brain originating during the prenatal, neonatal, or early postnatal period  Spasticity of motor movement is by far the most common presentation of CP  More subtle manifestations of CP include difficulties with speech, perceptive impairment, urinary incontinence, sensory loss, and difficulties with balance  Treatment may require multiple specialty consultation and a combined approach to therapy across several providers including oral medications, injections, and even orthopedic surgery
